"My husband and I had the honor of being married by Todd Gray on 9/17/2016. At the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia. As most brides do I interviewed so many people for our special day. We were so worried that our ceremony would feel cold since neither of us had a pastor of our own (we even interviewed close family members pastors to no avail) But the very second I spoke to Todd I just got a warm feeling and I knew he would be perfect, his voice is so warm and friendly! He offered us so many options of how to go about the ceremony and the wordings and accommodated us in things we wanted to do during the ceremony. "We hired Todd to officiate our wedding on October 26, 2018. We are from out of state and were very nervous to have someone marry us that we had never met before. Todd was an absolute pleasure to work with and we could not have asked for anything more. Todd was able to make the few hour drive to be at our rehearsal which greatly put us at ease and we would definitely recommend this. We really enjoyed that we worked with Todd to write out the entire ceremony from start to finish so we both knew exactly what would be said. "My now-husband and I happily hired Todd to officiate our September 2018 wedding at J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works in Charleston, WV. When we were searching for an officiant, we lived in Virginia (6.5 hours away), so finding wedding vendors was a little challenging, but Todd took my call, answered my questions, and quickly assured me we were in good hands.
From the moment we booked him, Todd was very communicative and cooperative. He asked us about who we were as individuals, who we were as a couple, and what our wedding day would be like, which made us feel like he truly cared about providing us with a unique experience.
He emailed us examples of how our ceremony and vows could look and sound like, and he was flexible about changing/removing certain language from his script, i.e. I wanted him to say "Erin, you may kiss your groom" versus "Doyle, you may kiss your bride." He was also super receptive to our desire to keep our ceremony short and sweet.
He arrived in Charleston early to coordinate and organize our wedding rehearsal, which went quickly and smoothly, and he was a kind and caring presence on our wedding day. We had multiple guests comment on how gracious and friendly he was"

"It took months and months of discussion for my fiance and I to decide on a wedding officiant. We knew we wanted a religious ceremony, but we wanted it to take place at our chosen venue. We wanted to find someone who was religious without being judgmental or proselytizing in any way. Mostly, we wanted someone that would make the two of us as well as our conjoining families happy. We had our quandaries with many of the other officiants in the region, but when we met Todd, we knew that we had found the right person. Todd has officiated hundreds of weddings for all different kinds of couples, and he still ensures that each and every bit of the ceremony is exactly what the couple wants. He is thorough in the ceremony planning, and he is an all-around nice guy. We invited him to stay during the reception portion of our wedding, and he was a huge hit with our families! "I met Todd and his wife Cheryl at a couple bridal shows and kept his information. My husband and I decided to sit down one on one with Todd and give him a chance. That was the best decision we could have ever made. Todd made it so easy and walked us through step by step. Our biggest fear had to be the vows. He made it so easy and fun considering my husband busted out laughing as soon as he had to repeat after Todd. Todd went along with the laughter and repeated the words again. "Amazing basically sums up our experience with Todd as our wedding officiant! My husband and I come from different religious and cultural backgrounds and we were at a loss trying to find someone to marry us in an outdoor setting that would combine both of our backgrounds. Our venue was not close to home, so without anyone local we looked to weddingwire to find a nearby officiant. I am so so glad we found Todd. He instantly made me feel better about my concerns for the ceremony, and worked with us every step of the way. Because we live so far from our venue we didn't have a chance to meet with Todd before the ceremony, but he talked with us multiple times on the phone, and truly listened to what we were envisioning for the big day. I communicated with Todd via email and phone throughout the summer leading up to the wedding and he was always a kind and calming presence in the wedding planning experience. He incorporated all of our requests into the ceremony and he created something truly beautiful. Wedding guests still tell me it was the best ceremony they ever attended. Even though we hadn't met in person before, when he arrived at the rehearsal he felt like someone we already knew and he did a perfect job of pulling together the ceremony rehearsal in what was turning into a rather chaotic environment. Our wedding would not have been the same experience without him and I would recommend him to absolutely anyone. Thanks Todd for giving us the best wedding, we are forever grateful."

"Todd was a joy to work with. He truly works hard to make your big day special! He always responds to emails almost immediately and answers any questions you may have! His experience in the wedding industry helps because he's able to give you guidance..for example: we thought about having a unity candle ceremony but Todd suggested that since it would be day light and outdoors we wouldn't see the candle in pictures and the wind may blow it out. He instead suggested a unity cross ceremony (which we did) and it was gorgeous! Todd also works hard to personalize your ceremony! He does everything from religious to non religious ceremonies, and civil unions! Also he answered emails after our wedding about the wedding license (right after he had surgery and was in the hospital)! He didn't have to respond so promptly but he did! Todd is a wonderful person and a great officiant! I highly recommend using Todd as your officiant!"

"My wife and I did an out of town, semi 'destination' wedding in West Virginia. We live about 5 hours away in Virginia. We searched around and found Todd and did some research regarding his services. Shortly thereafter we reached out to him about doing our ceremony and had then chatted on the phone about what we were doing, the type of feel we were going for and he was very gracious and easy to work with. He listened to our needs, made minor suggestions based on his experience and we had a draft of our ceremony very quickly that was almost perfect the first time. We had some minor changes but he was very accommodating and flexible. He showed up on time, was professional, easy going and easy to talk to. Though we had only chatted on the phone and via email, it felt as though we had known each other for some time and had been planning this event for years. Ceremony was perfect, no hiccups at all! "My husband and I planned a full sized wedding in 2 months. We were scrambling to find someone of quality to perform our ceremony, and decided to go with Todd Gray. He was wonderful! His prices were extremely reasonable, he sent us a draft of the ceremony so that we could change anything that we wanted, took special requests, and was always very prompt in replying to us (which is extremely important when you are in such a time crunch). Todd did a fantastic job at our wedding. It wasn't the kind of wedding where people are bored and falling asleep (we all know what that's like), it was very beautifully written and executed. We got numerous compliments on Todd and the ceremony from our guests, and we loved every word that he said. He was so easy to work with and obliged to every request we had. We were unable to meet in person prior to the wedding because of the distance but he was completely informative about his ideas and I made us completely comfortable about the entire planning process. "Todd met us for dinner to review what we wanted in the wedding ceremony and then made multiple drafts of the ceremony to make sure he got it right. I was worried about logistics because not only did we get married on my parents' farm in Milton, WV, I was planning the entire thing as a DIY wedding from Michigan! Todd was great. Everyone at the wedding liked him, he was willing to travel, and he even came down for the rehearsal dinner to make sure he knew how to get to the farm. We wanted a low-key, casual wedding (it was outdoor) and that's exactly what we got. I'm a sucker for keep sakes so we did a sand ceremony and afterward Todd gave us a copy of the ceremony in a nice binder to keep as well. We had a great time. Thank you Todd!"
